Heritage in Every Pour
Created to celebrate the launch of DFS Wine & Spirits at Singapore Changi Terminal 4, this experience reimagines Singapore heritage through the language of cocktails. Inspired by familiar local flavours, traditional Nonya kueh culture and Peranakan aesthetics, the project transforms tasting into storytelling — introducing travellers to Singapore’s cultural identity through a contemporary sensory journey.

The challenge was to create an experience that felt distinctly local while remaining relevant to an international audience within a travel retail environment. Rather than relying on nostalgic references alone, the concept focused on translating heritage into something immersive, approachable and modern. The result was a curated cocktail experience where local ingredients, cultural narratives and visual storytelling came together seamlessly.

Drawing inspiration from the colours, textures and craftsmanship found in traditional kueh culture, the visual language balances heritage with refinement. Layered compositions, soft palettes and Peranakan-inspired detailing create an atmosphere that feels both contemporary and rooted in familiarity. Every touchpoint was designed to evoke a sense of discovery —allowing travellers to experience Singapore beyond souvenirs and retail.

More than a product launch, the experience positioned DFS Wine & Spirits as a cultural storyteller within Changi Airport. It reframed cocktails as vessels of local identity, where flavour becomes memory and hospitality becomes connection.

By bringing together culture, craftsmanship and travel retail, the project celebrates Singapore heritage in a way that feels modern, memorable and globally accessible.
