Created for Penfolds x DFS Singapore at T Galleria by DFS, the experience brought together wine culture, immersive storytelling and contemporary travel retail. Inspired by Penfolds’ global “Venture Beyond” campaign, the activation invited travellers to discover the brand through curated tastings, exploration and sensory experiences within a premium retail environment.
The challenge was to create an experience that could stand out within a fast-moving airport setting while remaining authentic to the Penfolds heritage. Rather than relying on traditional wine displays, the concept focused on creating a journey of discovery — transforming the retail space into an experiential destination shaped by atmosphere, interaction and storytelling.
At the heart of the experience was a curated tasting journey featuring Penfolds House Style wines, including the first Singapore pour of Penfolds Max’s Rosé 2021. Guided tastings and immersive touchpoint encouraged travellers to slow down, explore and engage with the Penfolds world beyond the bottle itself. The experience balanced luxury with accessibility, creating meaningful connections between the brand and travellers from around the world.
Drawing inspiration from themes of exploration and global craftsmanship, the visual language combined premium materials, atmospheric lighting and experiential moments to create an environment that felt refined, immersive and globally relevant. Every touchpoint was designed to evoke curiosity and discovery — reinforcing DFS’s vision of creating “an experiential destination within a destination”.
More than a retail activation, the project positioned Penfolds as a contemporary cultural storyteller within travel retail. By blending heritage winemaking, experiential design and global exploration, the experience transformed wine appreciation into a memorable journey shaped by craftsmanship, connection and the spirit of venturing beyond the expected.
